BiographyPaola Favoino is an italian photographer based in Rome. She graduated in Sociology at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” with a thesis about Albanian immigrant workers in Italy. She also specialized in migration and refugees studies with a master’s degree. In 2012 she graduated in photojournalism in Rome. Since 2011 she has committed herself to a long-term documentary project concerning sworn virgins in Albania. To tell about their life’s stories she uses photography, audio recording and video. In 2019 this project became a book A JE BURRNESH published by Edizioni d’ottobre/Balter.
